Initial wide massiv boards were revealed under a layer of plasterboard and several layers of floor insulation.
The orginal floor made a good impression, but unfortunately the construction underneath was rotten. Surprises to be expected when renovating existing buildings.
The relatively large room has only one window to the east and is therefore rather dark. To make it brighter yellow hues were chosen for the color of the kitchen.
Since there were no existing kitchen elements to orientate on, the design of the kitchen was freely chosen. To match the style of the old house, traditional beadboard and wallpaper were chosen as wall coverings. The kitchen furniture is made by a carpenter and painted with linseed oil paint.
The preused door handles are found from a retrailer.
