Used telephone poles and stones

Most elaborate and time-consuming with this rather plain construction was the permission process. Apart from the building administration environment division, the city’s listed building section and harbour administration were involved.
As the jetty is supposed to last even with the streaming waters from passing ships and especially during the ice-forces in winter, a wooden box construction out of old telephone poles was built onshore, sent to the bottom of the water and filled with rocks.
