The luxury of running water
The listed building near Turku, Finland was in poor condition. There was neither a water-supply nor a heating system or oven in the building. Most of the wooden construction parts were rotten. In negation with the authorities the house got a bathroom.
Walls are treated with clay. Tadelakt was chosen for the shower walls.
About 250 years old logs remain visible.
In the corner there used to be a stove, the shades of the wooden wall show the different uses of the building.
The walls are painted in a natural green pigment, its hue was found on existing historical doors inside the house.
The wood for the shelf came from an oak tree in the garden.
